Trial Talks: 6 Year Old Was Forced to Exercise Until He Died
Imagine being violently, repetitively placed on a treadmill and demanded to run fast as your own father increases the speed.
Corey Micciolo (6) was brought into this world by teen parents, Breanna Micciolo, and Christopher Gregor. He was predominantly raised by his mother until he was 4 or 5 years old. Once he reached an older age, Breanna began struggling with a tough drug addiction and decided that having Corey live with his biological father would be a safe, temporary option, especially because she was still granted visitation. However, Corey little’s body began to appear scattered with noticeable, fresh bruises.
Breanna attempted to file multiple DCFS reports to alarm professionals: one in 2019, two in 2020, and one in 2021. According to her, Corey visited her home with a hurt lip, busted blood vessel in his eye, and bruises on his forehead. Breanna’s most recent attempt to pull Corey into a safer environment consisted of a try for emergency custody, but the order was denied, as it was believed he wasn’t in any danger. However, he was truly intertwined in such a horrible cycle of abuse.
