The Hollie Gazzard Case: Stabbed By Her Stalker While Working Her Salon Job

She went to work and never came home.

20-year-old Hollie Gazzard was the bubbly, chatty friend that people relied on to lighten up a mood or trigger a large belly laugh. Her outgoing demeanor immediately scored her a job at a hair salon — a job she loved because she got to help people feel better about themselves and their looks.

Hollie’s bold nature helped her to create friends in the salon quite easily. She was always willing to help the other girls if they perhaps messed up a step or needed advice. Haircuts, hair dye, and different styling were simply her niches. She thoroughly enjoyed trying out different hair looks on herself, too. It wasn’t just a job; it was a fun passion.

In addition to her interest in beauty, she loved the idea of traveling. Therefore, she combined the two and pursued a job as a hair stylist on a cruise ship. Once she scored the cruise ship job in January of 2013, she quit working at the salon and briefly spent her nights as a bartender. One of the patrons who often sat across from her was Asher Maslin (22).
