Cabin Chaos For Christmas: The Tiede Family Murders
The murderers recorded themselves opening the family’s Christmas presents before murdering them.
[Summit County, Utah]
Christmas time is undoubtedly an exciting time for people. Whether it’s the cheerful music, bold lights scattered around town, or the quality family time that often gets lost during typical days, it’s a magical moment.
As for Linae Tiede (20) and her sister, Tricia (16), their excitement brewed into an overwhelming blizzard of happiness with their mother, Kaye, and father, Rolf.
The girls’ Christmas experience was nestled in a rustic-looking Utah cabin their father built while most of their every day life was spent in Houston, Texas. The change of scenery with the thick snow, enormous mountains, and a warm-toned cabin interior was surely a perfect way to amplify the Christmas spirit. In addition to the cozy cabin, their land allowed them to fish and ride snowmobiles — in fact, it was the only way to access the cabin due to the amount of snow.
